Join a pharmacy that combines innovative patient care with a modernized compensation model to match!
Although we may have the look of a traditional community pharmacy, the staff’s emphasis on professional services and high-quality care is anything but!
In addition to helping fill prescriptions and address unique patient needs, you will have an opportunity to work in our 1000 sq ft, non-sterile compounding lab, and provide compounds for local patients as well as to pharmacies across the province. As compounding will be a significant part of your workload, a strong background in this setting will be a substantial asset. Experience with various dosage forms (i.e. suppositories, troches, capsules, etc.) and equipment (i.e. ointment mills, unguators, etc.) is important.
This isn’t just about fitting more into your work day – it’s about changing the pharmacy model completely!
If you’re self-motivated and interested in making a real difference to patients and the future of pharmacy, this is the place for you! We staff our pharmacy with significantly more employee hours than you would expect based on our script count since we want to ensure we maximize our time with each patient.
Candidate’s drive, vision for pharmacy, past experience with Kroll, and ability to garner positive relationships with patients and other healthcare providers will be considered first and foremost. Other valuable assets include experience and interest in utilizing a technician’s full scope in a community dispensary, blister packaging, helping organize/book clinical appointments, and/or specialization in a specific area. Strong knowledge of Kroll, as well as extensive past work experience in a pharmacy, is a must.
Position will be approximately 32-40 hours per week. Some shifts will be 8-4, some 10-6, and some 1-9. Techs and assistants currently work about 1 weekend every 6-8 weeks. Full health benefits, RRSP matching, annual license and liability insurance, funding for CEs, and earning a portion of services billings are available.
Position will be filled as soon as the right candidate is sourced – Apply soon to ensure you are considered!
