The Pharmacy Operations Manager is a regulated team member who plays an integral part in the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy. Leveraging CareRx systems, the Operations Manager is a people leader who will be a part of the management team to ensure consistent production, quality assurance, and dispensing requirements to our customers. The Operations Manager will be responsible for their team’s scheduling, new hire training, team skill, and performance development in alignment with the daily and long-term goals of the pharmacy. Your Day To Day:

  • Responsible for overseeing the deliverables of all pharmacy assistants and non-regulated staff members and all pharmacy team members (which include, but are not limited to, operations pharmacists, hybrid pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, and registered technicians).
  • Collaborate with the Pharmacy Manager ensuring day-to-day operations of the pharmacy dispensary are completed accurately and on time in connection with team members across workstations while meeting or exceeding audit/regulatory requirements.
  • Display a discipline to manage the CareRx Company-wide SOPs, Lean processes, Best Practices, KPIs, Quality and Efficiency, and Process Improvement.
  • Collaborate with regional, senior, and executive team members for the review/development of company-wide initiatives and strategic vision.
  • Foster and maintain relationships with current clients to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, displaying focused repeatable, and disciplined execution in meeting customer requirements.
  • Responsible for scheduling (labor allocation across stations), inventory management, payroll activities, paying bills, drug recalls, medication incident reports, and other manager and non-manager-specific activities for the business.
  • Responsible for all related staffing needs: recruitment, training, development, coaching, performance management, and addressing concerns.
  • Participate in special projects such as new business transition processes; evaluation of services with external vendors and stakeholders; or other projects pertinent to the pharmacy.
  • Support and collaborate with business development regarding prospective clients and attend and participate in professional conferences and/or stakeholder meetings, if applicable.

What You Bring To The Team

  • Registered as a Pharmacy Technician in good standing with the College of Pharmacists of BC or the Alberta College of Pharmacy
  • Previous management or lead experience is an asset
  • Strong leadership, delegation, and team-building skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a team
  • Self-directed, requiring minimal supervision and the ability to work independently
  • Knowledge of Kroll, automated packaging and inspection machine software, Microsoft Office, and all applicable eMAR platforms is an asset
  • Ability to remain unbiased when assigning tasks and resolving disputes
  • Business and financial acumen is an asset
  • Highly organized and possess excellent time management skills
  • Skilled in critical thought processes and able to prioritize appropriately
  • Must demonstrate initiative and creativity
  • Motivated to achieve results that reflect a high standard of quality
  • Must demonstrate good listening skills and be adaptable to changes in the job environment
