We seek an enthusiastic, full-time Regulated Pharmacy Technician for our unique Dispensaries Compounding Centre to prepare sterile compounds and more.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this opportunity, the ideal candidate must have/be:

• Registered Pharmacy Technician with the Alberta College of Pharmacists (ACP)
• A minimum of 2 years of pharmacy technician experience is perfect BUT not necessary
• Ideally, some experience with  Sterile Compounding
• Sterile training will be provided to the right candidate if they do not already possess it.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize workload
• Able to manage changing priorities
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Eagerness to learn and assist in maximizing efficiency and productivity.

Responsibilities:

• Check prescriptions that go out to stores
• Support the pharmacists in the lab
• Sterile compounding and compounding
• Review SOPs together with the quality control manager
• Participates in Performance Improvement and Quality Assurance activities
• Assist the pharmacist in maintaining federal, provincial, and local laws, accrediting body standards, and Policies and Procedures (P&Ps).
• Confirming the accuracy, completeness, and final check of compounded sterile products and preparing prescriptions for release (i.e., correct patient, drug dosage form/route, dose, doctor, etc.)
• Performs other duties as assigned.
