Role Overview: The Pharmacy Technician follows guidelines and standards set by the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia and organizational protocols. They process medication orders reviewed by a pharmacist, handle prescriptions, prepare and compound medications, and verify the accuracy of dispensed prescriptions. They also manage prescriptions for inpatient leaves, transfer prescriptions between pharmacies, maintain drug and health information records, manage stock levels, and perform clerical duties.

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 and an accredited Pharmacy Technician program graduate or equivalent.
  • Current registration with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia.
