Featuring exciting education sessions and networking opportunities, the Alberta Pharmacy Technician Conference is one of the premier events for pharmacy technicians from all practice settings in Canada. This year’s conference is being held in-person at the Best Western Premier Calgary Plaza Hotel in Calgary.

The theme this year is:

“BEYOND THE DISPENSARY”

The objective of this year’s conference is to provide Pharmacy Technicians networking and education opportunities to aspire and grow beyond the dispensary.

Register early to save $50 on registration fees:

$200 – PTSA Members
$275 – Non-Member (includes one-year PTSA membership)

Early Bird Registration: July 7th to July 16th @ 11:59 pm MT

All early bird registrants will be entered to win 1 of 2 $50 Amazon gift cards!!!

After July 16th:

$250 – PTSA Members
$325 – Non-Member (includes one-year PTSA membership)

Registration will remain open until August 31st, 2023 11:59 pm MT

Refunds may be requested up to August 28th @ 11:59 pm MT

Note: Registration fees include attendance at all conference events, meals and snacks. Accommodation at the hotel is not included in the registration fee.

The vendor exhibit will be held Friday, September 8th between 6:00pm-9:00pm.

Available CEUs

This conference will be assessed by the Canadian Council on Continuing Education in Pharmacy (CCCEP) for continuing education units (CEU) for Pharmacy Technicians.

A Statement of Attendance will be available upon completion of the conference and will be emailed to those in attendance. Only those who attend the sessions on September 8th, 9th & 10th will be eligible to claim accredited learning.

Sessions viewed post conference and vendor demo sessions can be claimed as non-accredited learning.

Are the conference sessions available for CEU’s now? I cannot seem to find them anywhere on the PTSA site.

Hi Jacie-Lee. Conference attendees received their statement of attendance following the conference and presentation slides were available online until September 30.

How does registration work. We just register the one time on Friday (early or late) and after that we do have to register back in for Saturday and Sunday or specific speakers? So we have to complete the assessment for each speaker to receive CEUS?

Hi Jennifer. There was only one registration option this year that covered all sessions and events. When you arrive at the hotel, you will check in once at the registration table. There will be information on the tables during the conference for how to complete evaluation surveys for each education session you attend. At the close of the conference, registered attendees will receive a statement of attendance by email that you can use to document the CEU for the sessions you attended.
