The communications committee is multi-faceted and has a number of volunteer opportunities. The duties of certain positions may be shared between multiple volunteers.
Communications Editor
- Oversee all communications ensuring guidelines are met
- Manage the info@ptsa.ca email – answering and distributing messages as required
- Continuously source content for communications
- Send email messages to the PTSA membership
- Compile and distribute the email newsletter
- Coordinate the timing of blog post/communications distribution on the website and social media
- Help write and edit blog posts
Bloggers
- Identify topics of interest and write short articles that can be posted on the website and shared on social media
- Coordinate posts with and report to the Communicators Editor
Social Media Editors
- Share articles and posts on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn
- Respond to questions received through social media
- Coordinate work with and report to the Communications Editor
