March is Pharmacy Awareness Month (PAM). March also marks the anniversary of PTSA’s creation and this year is our 10th Anniversary! Let’s take the time to share how proud we are to be pharmacy technicians and have a little fun in the process.
Click here to order your FREE promo pins and get in on the action! Check out some ideas for how you can get involved:
We want to see the snapshots and selfies of you, your teammates and your patients wearing one (or more!) of the #PAM2018 promo pins. Share your pics on social media using the hashtag #PAM2018. Ten individuals who share pics (one for each of PTSA’s 10 years) will be randomly selected to win a $10 Tim Horton’s gift card. Follow PTSA on Facebook and Twitter for inspiration.
Promote your Role
Pharmacy technicians are essential health professionals who have a defined set of skills that positively impact patients and pharmacy practice. Take the time to help your patients or your colleagues become more familiar with your scope of practice. Share this pamphlet with your patients to help them get to know some of the things you can do.

Set a goal to complete at least one new learning activity this month. If you’re in Edmonton, attend the March 19, 2018 Techs in Touch Continuing Education Event. Check out the online Education Courses or attend the Town Hall Webinar on March 7, 2018.
Join the Conversation and Renew your Membership for FREE
Starting in March, and every month for the remainder of our 10th Anniversary Year, one PTSA member will get their next membership renewal for free. To have a chance at one year of free membership, all you have to do is comment on a website post. One member will be randomly selected from those that have commented each month.
Share in our Profession’s Success
Success Stories are a new and ongoing feature spotlighting pharmacy technicians and their practice. We hope they inspire you to challenge yourself and to grow your practice. Watch for new stories throughout the month. If you would like to share your story, or if you know someone else who should be featured contact us.
Do you know a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Assistant that goes above and beyond the regular call of duty to provide outstanding patient or customer care? Let them know how much they are appreciated by nominating them as CAPT’s Pharmacy Technician or Assistant of the Year.
