Yakimets Pharmacy is looking to hire a full-time Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Fort Saskatchewan! We are a locally owned, independent pharmacy located within a professional building home to a variety of healthcare professionals including physicians, dentists, and optometrists. We pride ourselves in providing exceptional patient care and work closely with prescribers to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The position is full time (40 hours per week) and includes day and evening shifts. The Registered Pharmacy Technician is expected to support the role of the pharmacist through the safe and efficient management of drug distribution. The scope of this role includes third party billing, prescription filling and checking, interacting with patients, prescribers, and insurance representatives pertaining to prescriptions, and inventory management. A successful candidate must be willing to work as a team with both our staff and other healthcare professionals.  

Requirements:

• Pharmacy technician certificate or diploma
• Licensed and in good standing with the Alberta College of Pharmacy
• Minimum 1 year of pharmacy experience preferred, but not required
• Strong verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
• The ability to work well in a team setting
• Excellent customer service skills and a strong sense of professionalism
• Pharmaclik Rx (Nexxsys) experience preferred, but not required
