We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in preparing sterile products, including intravenous medications, injectables, and ophthalmic solutions, following strict aseptic techniques. Your attention to detail and commitment to patient safety will contribute significantly to our pharmacy’s mission to provide high-quality, personalized pharmaceutical solutions.
**Key Responsibilities:**- Prepare sterile products, ensuring accurate compounding, correct strength, dosage, and formulation.- Follow stringent aseptic techniques and sterile compounding guidelines (USP 797, USP 800) to maintain quality and safety standards.- Maintain a clean and organized compounding area, adhering to cleanliness and sterility protocols.- Collaborate closely with pharmacists and healthcare providers to customize medications based on patient needs.- Document all compounding activities accurately and ensure compliance with regulations and guidelines.- Assist in training and working alongside pharmacy assistants involved in compounding processes.- Contribute to quality assurance activities and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
**Qualifications:**- High school diploma or equivalent.- Pharmacy Technician Certification.- Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques and sterile compounding guidelines.- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.- Familiarity with pharmacy computer systems and software.
