2020 Conference Postponed – Feedback Needed

This time of the year registration for the Annual Alberta Pharmacy Technician Conference is just around the corner. This year we must instead announce that the 30th annual conference that was to be held in Calgary will be postponed to 2021. Despite recent announcements about relaxing some public gathering restrictions much is still unknown about Alberta’s staged relaunch plan and what the fall will bring. The decision to postpone the conference originally planned for September 11 – 12, 2020 was made with both social and fiscal responsibility in mind.

Save the date for the 30th Annual Alberta Pharmacy Technician Conference: September 10 – 11, 2021 at the Calgary Plaza Hotel

Ensuring pharmacy technicians continue to have access to quality continuing education remains a priority for PTSA. Even though the 2020 in-person conference has been postponed, options for hosting a virtual conference are being considered. A virtual conference would provide LIVE and ACCREDITED continuing education relevant to pharmacy technicians through an online learning webinar format.

Several formats are being considered for a virtual conference, including:

  • Multiple sessions held on the original conference dates (September 11-12, 2020)
  • One session daily over the course of 5-7 days (dates to be determined)
  • One session weekly over the course of 5-7 weeks (dates to be determined)

We need your feedback about your interest in a virtual conference and your format preferences.

Please complete a short 2 minute survey. Your responses will help us decide how to move forward.
